How does my small business repay myself and my partner if we used our savings for start up?
Let’s say a friend and I each used ,000 each from our personal savings to start up a small business. We pay ourselves our salary each month but how does the business repay the start up money? Is it a seperate payment from the salary? We don’t claim it as income, correct?

How to become a successful small business owner?
I heard that there are number of downsides being small business owner. Besides having to work long hrs and be constantly worried about your business and the competitors nearby, there is a high risk of going bankrupt. I was told that 80% of small businesses go bankrupt within its first 2 years. Sure, you make a lot of money if your firm becomes successful, but it seems there are many hurdles before reaching that state.
Knowing that, is it worth the risk starting your own small business for people with not much entreprenurial experience? What are the characteristics of people who own successful small business?

Hi, I'm working on a small business plan for an online shop. I hear that shipping is where profits can be made. I haven't researched the shipping portion yet of my business idea.
1. How do you sign up for discount shipping programs with shippers? Can small business benefit from shipping programs?
